The Issue Known as Time
It seems the older I get the faster time passes, especially as Amber and I see our children growing and maturing so quickly. If we were all honest, there was a period in our lives when time seemed to drag by. Think about your time at work, those last thirty minutes can seem like an eternity sometimes. Or if you are in dire need of a miracle, it seems like God’s response takes a thousand years to reach you, but He is always right on time.
We should strive to live our lives as if Jesus is returning today but plan our lives as though His return is many years away. We view time through a different perspective, but when we seek to have God’s will here on earth as it is in heaven, we will find His perfect and divine timing.
Heavenly Father, Thank You for all things in Your perfect time. Thank You for mercy and grace, and for keeping me through these times. -Amen
But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
